I’ve been quiet for a while now, but this is all because of the preparations. There’s so much stuff I still need to do, but I think I’m getting on top of it all now.

Travel…
Holy shit, it’s happening! I’ve just booked the flights to go home for a week after finishing my current job and also a ferry ticket to the UK for mid-July to go to Cambridge… 🙂
Still have a number of things to sort out, with the two most important ones being the storage in Ireland for my stuff (the decision is made already on the facility, and it’s all starting mid-June) and arranging a place to stay in Cambridge.
So it seems June and July are shaping up to be travel-intensive (at least more than my usual months)!

Jak ten czas leci! Minęło juz ponad miesiąc odkąd dostałem potwierdzoną ofertę pracy dla British Antarctic Survey jako Data Manager. Nadal jest mi ciężko uwierzyć, że to wszystko dzieje się naprawdę… zastanawiam się, jak wielu osobom udaje się zrealizować ich marzenie życia? Nie wiem, ale wydaje mi się, że nie tak wielu… naprawdę mam szczęście!
Wracając do tematu – przygotowania w toku. Nadal nie jestem pewien wszystkiego, co powinienem załatwić przed wyjazdem, czy zabrać ze sobą, choć lista rzeczy do załatwienia robi się z czasem coraz bardziej klarowna…
Six weeks to go
Time is flying. It’s been over a month since my job at British Antarctic Survey as Data Manager has been confirmed. I’m still finding it hard to believe this is really happening… how many people get to realise a dream of their life? I don’t know, but probably not many… I really am a lucky guy!
Anyway. I’m getting more and more busy with preparations for the trip. I’m still not sure of everything that I need to do or take with me, however the list is getting clearer and clearer as the time passes…
